Sculpture Park – Magne Furuholmen

Magne Furuholmen became famous as a member of the Norwegian world famous group, Aha.  He still performs occasionally with the group, but in the last years has become one of Norway’s best artists and sculptors.  In 2016, the Sculpture Park at Fornebuporten with all the works solely by Magne, was opened by Queen Sonia.  This is now the largest collection of ceramic works in Scandinavia today.

The largest objects are 6 meters tall and weigh around 9 tons each. The sculptures are placed both in freestanding positions as well as in granite-pools, with the use of water and steam as atmospheric elements to reflect the changing seasons of the year.
